Here's the difference in shooting a doe post rut, to pre rut. (In my opinion)

A pregnant doe might be carrying the offspring of a nice buck(one that may or may not be dead by now)- kill her now and that bucks fawns will not carry his genetics.
Shooting the same doe pre rut would have allowed said buck to not waste valuable time and energy and stress chasing,tending and breeding a doe that if shot post rut would be dead anyway.

My opinion: it's best to shoot your does in October. Fawns are big enough to be on their own- does are not pregnant.
Problem with that is: who wants to kill does in oct that will bring in the bucks in Nov? Noone

That's a big maybe but ok, maybe
maybe her own genetics are so bad, or maybe she was bred by one horn genetically deformed buck, we should take he out to make sure she does not reproduce. :happywave:
