Went for a quick hunt that quickly turned into a 2 hour cat vs mouse and the mouse won.

 

2 gobbler answered right away.

1 hen comes past me.

Cobblers stay out over 150 yards gobbling like crazy.

I closed the distance 4x... and each time they wouldn't commit and ended up moving further... I git a glimpse of them at about 70 yards, as they walked away.

 

Awesome hunt tho.

For get those stupid bird. I'm going to Shoprite and buy one. No mess and no sweating gallons trying to find one....

 

Nah just joking.. I went all over this morning till 1pm and never hear a bird. Walked 4-5 miles today. Found scratchings and tracks but never saw or heard any.

Funny you mentioned going to ShopRite to get a turkey. Got a Craving for Roast Turkey knowing it was to be a cool weekend.  Forget it   No Fresh ones no Frozen ones. what they had was Frozen Turkey Breast a very small one maybe 5 LB for $17.00 Boars Head look good after That.

Have to check Live slaughter farm in Marlboro.
