Dan, not true about the one point, per there web page you can buy more points every year I'm not sure of the limit per year. I purchase for the first time, so now starting next year I will be more then just one

it dont matter how many you purchase you only get to add one point a year to your total.

 

There is a matrix that allows more than 1 point after a certain number of years. For example, if you had been purchasing for 15 years now, you would have 30 points. 30 years you would have 180 points.

It doesn't make much of a difference to nonresidents, as it does for residents who can only purchase one chance per year.

Non-residents can purchase as many as they want, but only get 10% of the total permits allocated.
