hage.230 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 If you have not yet started it is time to get those bird dogs in shape. We can now train on any WMA. Once the dogs are good on their birds I will use Quail. Mike Bush has bird ready now. I Start with 20 min three or four times a week. Do most of my training on Colliers Mills. Here are a few pictures from last year the first is Max pointing wild pheasant last Aug 2015 in North Dakota, he is now 4. The second is his son Yeti pointing training quail at Colliers Mills April 2016 he is now 2. Anyone interested in training let me know. Haskell_Hunter and Rusty 2
RPK0620 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 I would be interested. I have a 2 yr old GSP and this will be her 2nd year. She did really good last year pointing and retrieving and my main focus for this year is to try to keep her working a bit closer without hampering her desire to hunt. And, now that the weather is breaking I will be taking her back to Colliers Mills weekday mornings. Let me know. I thought, growing old would take longer ! I spent most of my money on shotguns and fly rods. The rest I just wasted.
