There are plenty of huge bucks out there, all on unhuntable property. Lots of properties that are private and don't allow hunting. When out in Colorado near Durango to hunt with a buddy, saw a huge rack buck bedded in the pasture within 200' of the road, posted private .  We  could sit on his front porch in evening, look across the dirt highway and watch the nice bucks come out of the Federal land to the private pasture. Almost all the Federal land was separated from the roads by a 1/2 + mile of private property that didn't allow hunting. Access to these deer was several mile hike or horseback from public access. For those thinking about shooting one of these off limit critters, the wardens out there are no joke. They are everywhere with their spotting scopes!
