The stocked fish improve in flavor the longer they are in the stream or lake. But most smaller lakes and ponds  get hammered right away. And then warm up too fast. Maybe try some of the cool recipes on here for fresh stockers..

This small lake is never Hammered especially this year.  As far as any recipes go to make these trout taste any better is only adding the taste of what you put on them. Maybe my tastes are towards Salt Water Fish.    I will just Catch and Release and if gut hooked there are guys there to Take them.

That's cool. It is rare up here to see nobody fishing after a pond or lake gets stocked. Have fun catching them.
