Farmers 3D Shoots

When I shot there all the time , was easy to shoot a 294 or better on a 300 round if you took the time to really look at the shot.( had a few clean rounds there)
only year I shot the Championship there I won it with a 296, had been clean till the last two targets.
Had a 2 target shoot off against another guy who also shot a 296, smashed his arrow on the first of the two targets, he was wrecked for the next one.
was always a fun place to shoot, but always had a bunch of cry babies there .
stopped turning in score cards after that, and just shot to enjoy time out with friends

Not many guys shooting in the 290’s that I see. My best was last shoot, 277.

Still learning how to judge distance, always second guessing myself...

used to be some very good 3 d shooters there that used farmers as a practice session for other shoots.

most of us shot ALOT all week only shooting 60 yards and further practicing for field archery shoots,

anything closer at that point was a chip shot, just needed to check the ID cards to check  the 10 ring for odd angles.

AS MAX posted, look at the target and cut the distance in half , then judge that distance, On a  tough target split it again . as most have a fairly easy time at judging between 15/20 yards.

then multiply by what ever you cut it by, 2 or 4.

many times guys judge the right distance, but forget about leveling the bow up. slight side hill cants can push an arrow out to the side.

all great practice for hunting .
