2017 Archery/Muzzleloader Bear Week

I won my grievence at work, so I got 6 extra days ...I emailed fish and game two days ago requsting if this hunt will be the same week as 2016, I haven't gotten a reply yet, could be the person with the answer is on Christmas vacation....anyone here know if it will be that week? Thank you in advance

Never mind, just got the email:

 

The Comprehensive Black Bear Management Policy/Game Code does provide for both the October and December segments of the bear season in 2017. The December segment would be December 4-9 if again approved in the 2017 Game Code Amendments. The October segment, if held would be October 16-21.

Just got a correction email from Fish & Game, the original early bear season dates given the week of October 16th thu October 21, 2017 are incorrect

 

The dates of the hunt is October 9th thr October 14th, 2017

Depending on how the year goes 2017 and what kind of bears we have around. I will judge if I will take the time to bait and actually bear hunt

Looks like I maybe hunting a different area and zone from this year, not only a shorter drive for me but just as many bears as my current area but bigger bears overall....plus I wont bother my deer
