continental pheasant shoot - openings for Sat. Feb 11 @1pm

Me and a bunch of friends have scheduled a continental pheasant shoot at GameCreek on Saturday, February 11 starting at 1pm, and YOU are invited!  :happywave:

 

We are trying to get 20 hunters, and right now we are trying to fill about 2 to 4 more hunters. I figured there's some nice NJ W&W folks here that might be interested in this - so if anyone is interested, PM me for sign up details. Once the spots are filled, they close the sign-ups - its first-come-first-served.

 

It will start off with a tower shoot. Each of the 10 stations will have 2 hunters with a total of 150 birds to be released at the tower. After 15 birds are released, a horn will blow and the hunters rotate shooting stations. Hunters will get to shoot from each station.

 

Afterward, once we realize how bad we suck at that and have lots of escapees, we break off into small hunting groups and enjoy a guided pheasant hunt with dogs to mop up the rest. Hunters are free to bring their own pups if they so choose.

 

We finish with a dinner.

 

To hunt, you need your 2017 hunting license, blaze orange hat and/or vest, gun, and a couple boxes (or more if you want) of 2 3/4" shells no larger than #6.

 

I've never been to one, but I'm looking forward to seeing what this is like!
