Just received a Cabella's flyer in the mail. They have their 5lb upright stuffer on sale fo $80. norm $150. I've owned the exact one but from the sausagemaker for over 10 years, served me well and still like new.  For the price you can't go wrong. what a way to start a new and healthy hobby.  Ps it's addictive and gets expensive ,depending on how far you want to go. You don't need a smoker as some sausages can get dried in the oven or fried in a pan.  Hotdogs can always be heated to temp in a vacuum pack back till done. The ideas are endless.

Just bought this book to start getting into it with a buddy of mine.  It's supposed to be the best starting point for learning a bunch about the process and all of the technical stuff behind the scenes.  Plus, it has a bunch of recipes.  Thought I'd share.
