chris n Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Had the day off yesterday so I decided to head out mid day to chase the elusive February bass. Wasn't too bad out except for when that wind was howling 25+. Started off at puff x mainly to test out a new chronarch E5 and a crucial crankbait rod. First cast I was reward with double header shad. Figured id be able to scrounge up a bass feeding on the school of shad but no sir. Ended up snagging a damn sunny in the center of the lake...thing was cold and I could practically see through it. Headed over to one of my other puffs and found less wind in the back half of it. Tied on a pointer 78 and started probing the lake. There was some very alive grass growing about 3-4ft under the surface...I knew it was going to be good. I proceeded to catch two and drop two in the next half hour. They were crushing it pretty good...both had it sideways in there mouth with both trebles in them. First one I lost was a good one in the 3.5-4lb range and she did a half hearted jump and got off in front of me to fish or not to fish...what a stupid question
