MICHAEL HINKEL OBITUARY

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, N.J.

Michael D Hinkel, 69, of Lopatcong Township passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill in Bethlehem.

Born September 21, 1953 in Easton he was a son of the late E. Floyd Hinkel and Mildred (James) Strahle Hinkel.

He was employed by Victaulic in Easton, PA in the Molding Department. Michael was a 1972 graduate of Warren County Technical School. He volunteered and was recording secretary of Merrill Creek Conservation & Sportsmen Association, and earlier was a web designer of the Bi-State Fishing Contest. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and showed his love of nature and wildlife through his photography and videography. During the 1980's he was the drummer in the "Dee Hart Band".

Survivors include a sister Susan Heiney of Bath, PA; two brothers James W. Strahle (wife, Elaine) of Lopatcong Township and Joseph Hinkel of Nazareth, PA; three nieces; great-nieces; great-nephews; and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Doyle-Devlin Funeral Home, Inc., 695 Corliss Ave, Phillipsburg, NJ. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to time of services in the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.devlinfh.com.
