For those interested in competive archery, there is going to be a reality tv show, It premiers on 7-26 at 1:00pm on NBC Sports. There is actually a guy from Jersey on it. Maybe someone knows him. Steven Gatto from Hammmonton NJ.

"Nock Out is a competitive reality TV show for field, 3D, and target archery. Archers compete in both team and individual events, and at the end of the season one archer is named the Nock Out Champion. Premieres week of July 22nd, 2013 on NBC Sports."

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear

Glad to see anything archery on tv. Does anyone know the back story with one of the contestants Rowdy ( Kyle )  Dowdy. Supposedly he photoshoped a hunter out of a pic and inserted himself and claimed to have shot the bear in Alaska. Surprised the show producer would allow someone with this much controversy on a show..

I heard about this and saw the pic, and heard it was confirmed to be a fake.....I'm also pretty sure he was banned from AT and supposedly in the past has claimed to be a Navy Seal wounded in Afghanistan.

I know nothing more than that though and I'm not sure how factual that all is.

The bear is confirmed fake though....as there are also other angles of the bear and real hunter online.

I would guess the producers of nock out didn't know at the time of casting? Or maybe figured the controversy would draw ratings.

I agree. I would love to see him edited out of the show. Of course, he survived another week even though he shot like poo. I can't wait until he gets "NOCKED OUT"!
