Only tried it once in PA with no luck.  They roost in my pines, and wake me up every morning.  I'd rather wake up to them than the alarm clock.  

 

Once I was well hid in a maple tree during bow season when a crow landed above me.  I gave a hoot, and soon had a dozen creating a racket.  A couple more hoots and they went nuts.  Must of had 50 overhead before I had had enough and spooked them away.
