Changed out the 2x4 scope on the 20ga HR for a new Nikon 3x9, and moved up from Remington 2 3/4" copper solids to 3" Remington AccuTip slugs today in anticipation of taking off for Ohio Shotgun opener, which LAST YEAR coincided with NJ 6 day. Was planning to take off most of that week...  I quickly got the gun sighted in today with the accutips hitting a quarter at 80 yards and same at 30 yards, I was beyond impressed with the gun and ballistics...    Then my Ohio buddy texts me and says "Sh@t, the opener is TOMORROW"..... I checked and yep - it is... 

 

So I will have to settle for NJ 6-day... UGH...   I can't do this week in Ohio, have to work and today was my son's 20th birthday.. Just no way to turn that around.. Will probably take a few days with bow if I can swing it this week and take some 6 day as well.

 

I should have checked/planned better...  You can't fix stupid!!!!!

I haven't hunted Ohio shotgun season in a while but I thought it was always the Monday after Thanksgiving (same as PA).

. I just checked dates and you are correct - which only makes it even more stupid I could not plan the simplest of things.
