Current mag capacity limit

Sorry for the noob question but I'm having a severe brain fart at the moment.....

What is the current capacity limit for a detachable mag for say, an AR15?

All the talk about limiting to 10 and NY going to 7 has me forgetting where we started in the first place, lol thanks!

Currently its 15 for magazines. But for an AR you wont usually find legal mags holding 15 but rather 10 or larger mags that are pinned.
