My brother and I decided to try hunting-video this year. We purchased the TACTACAM package with all the bells and whistles. It comes with a stabilizer for a compound bow, gun mounts, utility mounts, spare battery, battery charger, spare micro chip, water-proof cap and of course the camera unit. I recorded a practice session at a couple different settings. In the attached two videos I took three shots each time at 20 yards. The first video is at the 1080p setting with 3X magnification. The second clip is at the 720p setting with 5X magnification. At 720p you get a closer view but you lose some detail and the picture is a little grainy. For a shot at 20-30 yards the 1080p setting is the way to go. I took these videos at last light on the edge of a field. I thought the quality in low light was pretty good. Lighted nocks make a big difference in tracking your arrow as you can imagine. It takes some practice to keep your focus on the target after a shot but it doesn't take long to catch on. Audio is not the best. The mic is in the back of the camera and to be heard you have to speak directly into it like a microphone. It is not so good for picking up ambient sounds. Overall, we dig it and are looking forward to having some fun filming our hunts. We will post a clip when we get FreakNasty or MacDaddy. We will be glad to answer any questions you have about the TACTACAM set up. There's lots of info on the internet. Just Google TACTACAM. The second video makes a little more noise on the release. The set screw on the camera probably came a little loose.
