older Browning A5 with steel shot

Just wondering if the older Browning A5 can handle the modern magnum fast steel loads. I'm talking about the 1950 - 1960 fixed choke barrels. I remember hunting as a kid and my grandfather had one with a poly choke. I wish I had his.

I had read a previous post that said that you can only use steel shot in a Japanese A-5.

I still have a Belguim A-5 with a Poly choke.Great Gun!
