Going by what the website says for each item added together it's about 175lbs. But that is including the big storage bin and two side bins and that's not including the glass protector part. It didn't specify a weight for that. If I had to guess, total weight is probably around 200lbs. The pistons that assist the two ends work very well. The back part nearest the bumper lifts itself up as soon as you turn the latch to open. The part closest the window takes a little lift to get it up because of the glass protector but when it's up it stays up. How that answered your questions.
