The overdraw is coming off the Royal Hunter and I will be checking out to see what rest looks good for shooting Flu Flu's and I gotta get a new string and cables for it. The Excalibur may be getting the bowfishing whisker biscuit... I am currently using a Wing Redwing Hunter recurve for bowfishing right now, using an AMS retreiver on it.

Due to a bad shoulder I've switched to Excalibur recurve crossbows. I have several and I'm happy with all of them. I can work on them myself and don't need a bow press-NO CABLES! I also shoot a light draw weight (35lb) Martin Saber recurve.

There is a lot to be said about older bows. They still work as designed (if maintained) and they usually can be had for a good price because too many people are being caught up in the "trick of the week" deal with new bows.

A lot of time has passed since I bought my T-Star. lol

I bought it through mail order (ordered a catalog and then mailed them a money order [no internet, credit card, etc]). Maintain it myself.. Still kills deer.

2016 New Breed GX2, set at #48 @ 30.5".  One sweet machine!

Shoulder surgery had me trying an Excalibur crossbow, but I simply didn't find it fun to shoot.  My wife shoots an Excal and likes it just fine.  Just wasn't my cup o' tea.

No discomfort drawing the New Breed, very smooth draw and let-down.  I'm a happy boy!

Love this bow. 0 creep, you almost have to push it to let back down.
