This "pedestal" took 30 seconds to make with a chainsaw.  I'm pretty sure I heard Jeff Foxworthy reference chainsaws and home decor once?

Yea, its a cow.  Was going to make a lamp for the living room but my wife was not going to tolerate it.

Here is a rainbow trout reproduction mount that I painted myself. Caught the fish in the pequest.

Here are two of mine. Made out of Cedar. The vertical is a natural color with a coat of clear. The other one was treated with several coats of linseed oil.

 

 

 

This one is more conventional but I don't like it so I will be changing it to something more natural looking

Those look great Lunatic, I love those big slabs of cedar.       

 

Cedar is my favorite type of wood for these kinds of mounts.

can't beat cedar. Soft wood with beautiful grain an color and it smell nice when worked on.
