I have to dig out some older photos from before this that are on external drives...but here's a few, not exactly a super long time ago, but cool to see some pics.

High school days, circa very late 70s or very early 80s.  I wanted a bird dog badly, but my parents were smart enough to know I would soon be off at college and they would be stuck with my dog, so I attempted to bring our family mutt along on this hunt.  At the first shot, he bolted straight home where I later found him and took this photo of my day.  In those days, you used lead shot for everything legally, so no need to have steel only for the duck.  We shot everything that was legal in those days with a mix of 8 shot up to size 2s for geese.  

 

That hen woodie was shot about 100' from where the Rutgers student was killed by the bear recently.
