I got my first grey of 2013 this morning. Got him on a log crossing on state land

I've only seen 2 grey fox in the 25 or so years i've been living in this state and both of them were this year. Reds i see every day.. However when i lived in VA all i ever saw and trapped were greys and never reds..

Nice! I see more grey in the pines than I do red. May just be the location I hunt. I know other guys that hunt the pines and they tell me the opposite.

Definitely seems like greys down south, mix of grey and red central and mostly reds north from what I've seen hunting.

Our fox numbers have been low for a awhile but they seem to have rebounded.
