Swamp_Yankee
People take an overly simplistic view of their ethnic origins and simply attribute them to wherever their ancestors were living the day they got on a boat and came to the United States, when in reality, prior to that point, their ancestors going back generations upon generations had been driven in all directions across Europe and Asia by war, famine, economic opportunity and trading, conquering of other nations and peoples, etc... My ancestors predominately from Ireland, but I would guess that if I took one of these tests (I will not, because I'm not willing to sign over my genetic profile to a 3rd party-read the fine print) I would find that my genetic origins were either Central and Northern European because the British Isles were conquered first by the Romans and then the Normans. If you're "Italian" its not as if your ancestors lived in Italy since the dawn of modern man and then decided to come to America 100 years ago. archer36 and Sticks n' Stones2 2 I live back in the woods you see My woman and the kids and the dogs and me I got a shotgun a rifle and a four wheel drive and a country boy can survive

If you are to believe those DNA tests you may be in for a rude awakening. I firmly believed I was 100% Italian. I ended up 15% Italian. All the rest was around Italy. bushden

Turns out their biological father was a sperm donor. So it seems kinda odd that a given sperm donation organization within an area would use the same donor repeatedly in the same area. Chances are there will be multiple kids who area in the same area who are unknowingly related, will go to the same schools, meet, form friendships and relationships...and then suddenly you're in a Joe Dirt movie banging your sister.
