Favorite winter time Venison meal

Stew or chili.  Both are good.

Looks delicious. I made 10 lbs of deer sausage peppers and onions on Friday night and put in crockpot till Saturday afternoon where we ate it at the deer club when we came in for lunch. Then made some for the eagles game last night, both came out delicious

I have a back strap marinated in a ginger teriyaki that will go on the grill tonight.

All we did was lightly flour the venison and brown it in a pan. Then add that to the crookpot with water,Onion,celery,potatoes and a packet McCormick stew mix. In there for 8 hours. Next time i have to add flour to the water to thicken it up.

Believe it or not, Venison Shanks Oso Bucco  style.

Back strap on the grill is always my favorite but a nice warm belly filler on a cold day would be venison stroganoff
