Heading out with our daughter for her first hunt of the year.  She's in year 5 of a 7 year program at school, January is her only opportunity to hunt.

I have three swampy areas on the property. The rest is hardwoods between 700 to 900 feet.

They will start flying about 2 minutes after sunset.

Kicked a doe out of her bed near my blind.she only heard me , stopped, and wasn't sure where was before leaving.  Hope I can salvage the night.

Shot one.  Big.doe was walking ridge out of range, small doe was passing at 20yds.  Was bellowing for a minute over the ridge. Will give her a few more minutes.
