12/26/18 pm hunt z15

Really a scouting mission. I’m set up at creek bottom and I can see 300+ yards of it. They cross it almost every day. I am home this week so this is step one for this week hunts . I shot some nice, late season bucks in this spot,last year on the 29th

Good luck Luny - I am hitting the shower for a late afternoon, 2 hour sit in z2.    These bucks are on the menu (hopefully).  Just depends on the wind, which looks like it will be just slightly better for me than for the deer. 

If anyone would like a DOE, please let me know, you would have to come by me to pick it up.  There are a few in this spot I would like to take out, but gonna stick it out for buck first.

I have deer on move 150 yards maybe will enter corn field. Saw one rack but not a shooter

I had a perfect 17 yard quartering away shot at the biggest doe out of 13, she fed relaxed for several minutes. But - had a young 8pt feeding not far from her, and 3 more bucks entered the field 150 yards away.  I regret not shooting the doe, as no shooter bucks were in the group tonight. However - nice bucks all over this spot under cover of darkness - 3 definite shooters, so just keep feeling like a shooter will enter last light. . Just need the right conditions.  I just don't like shooting a doe and blowing out over a dozen other deer in the process.  Just wanted this guy to show

No antlers today for me, I had six deer within 50 yards come down for a drink and that was it.

Hold off on the doe at this spot Jacko! This buck and others are slammers. I think they will turn totally nocturnal until they shed if you zip a doe out of that stand.....
