I believe you sir. Hopefully fox action will pick up with the colder temps.

It will but you only have maybe 2 weeks left of good fox before they are rubbed, normally starts now but they haven't been Denning up with warm temps

Rgw is my hero. A human encyclopedia of trapping knowledge. Thanks man.

I am no where near a expert. I live and breath trapping and try to learn all I can. When good trapper's speak I listen and try to learn all I can. The day I stop learning I quit

I catch alot of coons in January when it's cold. They are breeding and looking for love. The places I trap they don't den up for too long

Yeah some coon activity will slow down but won't stop completely in the cold. The big boars will be roaming looking for the females. Just keep a good catch pole handy if you get a badly rubbed up one and release it. There is no shortage of coon.

sounds like you've got the dog proofs Figuared out.

How are you doing with the fur handling ?

If you post some pics of your pelts we can give you pointers on that as well. After all, if your fur isn't put up correctly, you won't get any reward for all your effort.

Especially in today market and coons in particular.
