Just put a deposit down on a dog

So I just put a deposit down on a chocolate lab from a breeder in Mississippi. Im

going to start working with her here at the house, but they are going to train her for bird huntingonce she is about 6 months old. My question is what type of tracking collar do you all recommend for a dog in the field.  If anyone can offer any good advice I’m all ears and willing to take it

We haven't needed a tracking collar. We use a correction collar with multiple functions. Beeb, vibrate and shock. I'm very new to owning a hunting dog but so far that's all we need.

The most important thing to do is have fun work on obedience first nothing worse then spend the day yelling at your dog. The bird will come with time

I don’t use a tracking collar your going see your dog almost always. A beep and e collar like the sportdog 1875 is all you need.

The Garmin Sport Pro is a good collar.

I also finally put my deposit down on my Bavarian Mountain scenthound.  Breeder is in North Carolina, puppies are not here yet.  The bitch went into heat 1st week in November, puppies will be ready by March or April.  This will be my new blood trailing dog.
