Was never a big fan of gottta be in early.Depends on many factors.where you hunt,small/ big property, headlights from vehicle where you park and where they are when you get there and where there beds are.I had spots where it took me a few times that It was a hinderance to go in before daybreak, because of the scent direction! As the sun rises it changes the thermal currents, like other said, especially now is the best time of the year anytime of day!Good luck!

Thursday I climbed up in my stand at noon and ran out a buck.  Not sure if he was bedded or cruising through.  I almost got a shot off standing on the tree branch I stand on to scan the area before getting into my stand.

Friday I walked in zero dark thirty and had a deer walk up to me and wind me as I was standing at the base of my tree.  Then I shot my buck, a different one from the day before, at 1115.

Get in there whatever time you can!
