Had 4 mature does come in at different times...no bucks on them?!?!  Had a small forkhorn come in and could care less about the does?

Just finished a stand off with a mid size 8 came in on a rope solo but would not give me a good shot squirrels and blue jays scared him off back into the cedar swamp..

9am 11/8 - see my first real chasing and grunting of the rut. It’s a young buck - but it’s encouraging none the less.

I would think my hunt is over since that buck snorted at me but going to stick it out a while longer.  They're cruising today and maybe one comes from the other direction

Hey guy - been on stand in zone 9 since 5:15 this morning. Had a few does come in before 10 minutes legal light with a buck shortly thereafter. Buck turned out to be what I'm calling a monster misfit 4pt. They all stayed and ate for awhile. The does left with the buck following suit. Later had a spike come in for a bit and then left. Some time later a pair of small does come in to eat. After what seemed like a good while, a super tall spike shows up and the does took off. He ate for a bit and then left. Very little rutting activity... Surprising!

Since I have to be at work by 1pm, I'll probably be getting down soon.
