More than likely if you missed the first shot your second and third wont be much better

I enjoyed getting out unfortunately couldn’t make to happen.. still had a blast. I am out now for waterfowl so hopefully my luck turns  around. Good luck to anyone out this rainy morning

I’m a bow hunter . Totally different ,

mind set. I wait for the right shot and pass if it’s not perfect .

the mindset of already thinking about needing a second shot turns into spray and pray.

im def not taking a questionable shot at a bear and having to walk up on one that is just injured .

IMO guys shooting muzzleloaders have same mindset as a bow hunter . One good shot .

I consistently shoot deer out to 125 yards with my slug gun without  accuracy issues, sounds more like the guy pulling the trigger department  No different then a bow ,wait for the right shot and its one and done

Actually slug guns and slugs have come a long way in recent years.  4" groups at 200 yards are possible with the right gun and slug combo. 

I agree that your first shot is usually the only one you need.

I love my muzzleloader , but those  savage bolt slug guns are really nice as well. Very accurate and pack a wallop.
