Leupold VX 2 or New Freedom Model , Which One

Looking to purchase a scope for a 280 rem . I want a 4 x 12 x 40 and have seen some VX2 ‘s floating around but wondering how the new Freedom model is . This is suppose to be a combination of  VX 1 and 2 , designed and assembled here in the  US and will take their place  in the line up . I have a VX 2 on another rifle so I know how they perform . Anyone have any feed back  on the freedom ?? Watched some vids but still not sold , Thanks for your feedback NUK

Have a VX3 on my 30/06. 4.5-14 x 40 CDS....crystal clear....love it

I have both  and to me they are one and the same. No difference. I would say get whichever one is the better deal.

I bought the Freedom 4 x 12 x 40 , was under $300 on Amazon , I also bought the  Leupold AlumiCaps  from them as well . Seems to be well built with super clear optics . I lapped the rings and bored sighted it . While I was at it I installed a Timney trigger  . She’s ready for the range now, gonna feed her some Hornady 139 SSTs .
