What to do with Illegal campers ?

I was out in Allamuchy State Park on a very early morning and came across a couple of campers in a hammock (he was waaay off the trails) with a small fire that had burnt out in a pit next to them.

 

I didn’t wake them and was wondering:

 

. What do you guys think about this - it looked kind of fun tbh

. What are the fines in NJ for illegally camping and having a fire in a state park? I’m guessing it’s really high.

. Should I have woken them up and told them to buzz off?

If you were hunting on a Sunday in a state park, I also believe that is illegal? As a kid  I set the woods behind my parents house on fire in 2nd grade haha the little pyro I was.  So kids in the woods? Let them be kids?

It was probably a hunter who spent to much money on hunting stuff so his wife kicked him out of the house for the night..  Who cares let them have fun.

This is the problem. Someone always looking to rat someone out. So someone wants to do a little camping off the beaten path. Did it hurt you at all.

Bring  a Boom Box in the woods, and blast Dueling Banjos.

Unless they are making a mess and leaving garbage around or under your stand don't bother them.

I saw a homeless guy living in the woods in Wittingham WMA once. That was a long time ago

More recently junkies from Newton were camping out on Paulinskil WMA,but I was there last week and didn't see any evidence of them still being there

There was a homeless guy in Budd lake who pitched a tent 40 yds from where I set up.  I just relocated and a couple weeks later he was gone for one reason or another.

On a related note, I always thought that on the large WMAs, thousands of acres,  someone could live and no one would ever know.
