Old hunting roots

Recommended Posts

That's pretty incredible.  I remember back when my grandfather hunted as a kid, he said it was rare to ever even see a deer in PA.  My dad said growing up, few would shoot bucks during buck week in PA.  Now we have a lot of opportunity, despite all the BS with antis, we are very fortunate.  Wildlife conservation has really paved the way for healthier habitats, wildlife populations, and hunting opportunities.

My uncle told me he and a group of friends found a set of deer tracks in a piece of woods and when they went into town and told people half the town went out in the woods to check out the tracks.  People were so excited to just see a set of tracks.  Hard to believe at one time they were not even around in most areas.

Cool article thanks for posting.

Things linger thurs is what we need to be seen by the public on the fence about hunting...  people don't realize that's its because of hunters are have the wild life we do today..  I love the line we are going to hit the bears to extinction...  show me one piece of evidence where regulated hunting has led to the demise of a spiecies...
