Anyone install a rubbing post?

I installed a horizontal rub 2 years ago.  It never got touched.  I do better with mock scrapes.

That's a clever idea tcook, I'm interested to see the results you get.

I know the Drury team use them with excellent results, but I have no fields to use something like that. I just make a mock scrape within bow range of my stands.

There is something about lone trees or a few trees by themselves in open areas cultivated or not. In my experience almost every time I come across these loners there is good buck sign. Either on the trees themselves or on any saplings starting around them. I'm thinking they are spots where a buck can show his dominance to anything within eyesight of the spot.
