How do I upload video from my phone?

I was able to upload one directly to my gallery on here.

I'm getting an error when trying to do it as an attachment, I'll have to figure that out.

Alternately, you can upload to an external site (Youtube, Vimeo, etc) and link it directly here, the post will be converted to display an inline video.

yes I tried to add as an attachment and got an error message. I don't do youtube

What type of file is it? What is the extension of the file? I can see you can attach a variety of files, I tested an MP4 (which wasn't allowed)...but others are. So to be sure I add the one you have, let me know which it is

I tried to upload as a 3gp? extension

OK I added that one, you should be able to attach that type now.

 

I tested adding it to a Gallery here on the site and that will work too, then you can embed it in a post with the "My Media" button.

The downside is you'll need to generate a thumbnail image for it, hopefully a future version of Gallery does that automatically.
