Time goes by way too fast.....

Recommended Posts

…..as I am absolutely positive many and most would agree. To all the young parents, family members of hunters, and members on Woods&Water, do whatever you can to take your kids in the woods when they are young. As the years pass, the times pass even faster.  Almost wish we had the ability to stop time, but this is unfortunately not possible... Below are a few pics of Jr from early on aiming his "stick" shotgun at the range with me, up to recently.  Although he has taken some nice deer, the memories of just being together in the stand, blind, or woods is what it is all about in my eyes...

Post up any pics that bring you back to good times and even better memories, whether it be with kids, friends, family, etc...It's all good...

Well... my daughter is only 2 months so I want it to speed up already so I can take her lol.

I have so many countless wonderful memories of being in the woods with my family at a very young age. Here's a few pics from my childhood. I'm the shortest one.. lol20180712_012210.jpeg20180712_012528.jpeg

I was fortunate to have a brother 10 years younger than me who I helped my dad mold into quite the hunter. He grew up fast!! (That's me on the tailgate with my first deer. Dont jude the haircut, it was in at the time lol)

We owe it all to our dad for involving us at a young age. I know so many guys with kids and they wont bring them in the woods because they are so worried about the hunt being ruined. Hunting is so much more than that. My family is always giving up hunts to sit together in the same tree and enjoying each others company. Usually goofing off making memories 20180712_012659.jpeg20180712_012922.jpeg20180712_012841.jpeg20180712_012906.jpeg20180712_012607.jpeg20180712_012417.jpeg20180712_012459.jpeg20180712_012238.jpeg20180712_012810.jpeg20180712_012048.jpegScreenshot_20180712-013902_Messages.jpeg

I've been taking my son fishing and small game hunting since he was 2 1/2, then this past year I started trapping and he would go check traps with me most of the time ...my daughter who is 7 months old  just had he first fishing trip last week.... definitely alot of fun and I enjoy the time out with them..plus it helps when you have a wife that's into the outdoors too so it's easy to round everyone up and go do some hunting or fishing...

You are so right Lou, time goes by way too fast.  That's why it's so important to appreciate every day that God gives us with them.

Many of the happiest moments in my life were spent hunting and fishing with my dad and sometimes other family members as well.  What I'd give for one more day in the woods with him...

My daughter is almost 4 and already loves shooting her bows and being in the woods with us.  I can't wait to get her out hunting with me to get some "yummy yummy deer meat" as she calls it.

Funny but not funny..I had to start shaving in 5th grade. Some guys just exude so much manliness that it literally comes out of every pore.  the Beard and I are kindred spirits...LOL

Now that is some funny shit. Your leaving out that you were 20 years old in the 5th grade :shakehead:

I have a little guy who is 1 and I can't wait to share with him what my Dad taught me.  Last year, I gave up my own hunt to sit in a ladder stand with my Dad for the first time in a very long time.  I can't believe what I've been missing.  We scared off several deer due to our horsing around and laughing but it is one of my favorite hunting memories of all time.  I wouldn't trade that day for 10 harvests.

My son is only 3 but I have enjoyed every minute of our outdoor adventures. I really look forward to getting a fishing pole in his hands and having him in the woods with me. He kept telling me not too long ago that he needs a deer on his wall “like daddy’s” so now he has one hanging in his bedroom.

Pse, don't take this the wrong way,  but I always wondered how you got your wife to marry you.  But now that I see pictures of you without your beard I get it.
