Guess the Age of this Buck

I'm doing a European mount for a friend and I just pulled the jaw off and got a look at this buck's teeth? 

How old do you think it is?  I'll post pictures of the teeth later.

No clue just looking at the horns but I will go with 4 1/2

Here's your first hint.

antlers alone are hardly a good estimator for age, but I will guess 5.5 years old for the helluva it.

That picture tells me he is 2.5 but than again.

My verified 4.5 from last year showed zero wear on his teeth like he was 2.5. Then my December, verified 3.5 YO bucks teeth looked like he was 5.5.

There is a very distinct feature in that picture that makes the age 100% accurate.

Well, the only sure indicator of age on this picture is a triple on the 2nd molar. I can't move up from there. DO you have a pic from the top, instead side view?

Good eyes, that is feature #1.

Now count the number of cusps on the third premolar on the far side.
