This duck was eating good...

Skinned this merganser today for a mount.. seen a bulge in his throat so I cut his neck off at the shoulders to see about 2-3" of a fish tail end sticking out of his body. I pul and pull and this huge fish comes out! Amazing how they can eat something whole especially if its bigger than the length of their body.. I would have thought he would have chocked.

Wonder how long it takes for them to break down a fish that size. He must have had it in there for awhile because the fish head looks like it was starting to decay I guess from stomach acids..

Nature amazes me once again.
