NJW&W Golf Outing List of Interest, Dates, and Location

Recommended Posts

Alright, about time someone kicked this off! :)

Who's interested, what golf courses would you recommend, and what days are good for you (weekend only, midweek)?

Will update the topic as others reply...

Participants:

  1. BowhunterNJ (midweek or weekend, prefer Central NJ around Route 195 so easiest for all to get to but will play North or South)
  2. Rusty (midweek or weekend, prefers North NJ, doesn't know how to use a chainsaw or an axe, probably eats Taylor Ham)
  3. BillW0323 (midweek or weekend, prefers North NJ)
  4. TroutandBucks + 2 (midweek or weekend, says @Bucksnbows has agreed to wash his balls that day)
  5. Bucksnbows (midweek or weekend, wants to also bring flyrod to cast into trees around pond)
  6. tjfslaughter (weekend, prefers North NJ)
  7. NJ Predator (Monday-Wednesday and Weekends prefers Central NJ but will go North NJ too)

  1. Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station, NJ 08853 (http://www.neshanicvalleygolf.com/)

I'm good most days.

Maybe do a south Jersey get-together and a north Jersey???

Crystal Spring's Black Bear Golf Course.    Sussex county.

I’m in. I’m good for just about any weekend or I have plenty of PTO left for the year. Prefer North Jersey.

You're in, I added notes about BnB's participation as well

I just can't wait to watch you have to wear this to walk and play golf "up north".

If I'm not on a job, I'm in.  Somewhere in my basement are a set of clubs with an inch or two of dust on them.  Can I bring a fly rod as well?  Most golf courses have great fishing ponds.  :)

Who's walking?  My friend and I were talking about how brutal it would be to walk a course in NW NJ.  My quads had lactic acid build up just from walking up the hills from the greens and tee boxes to the cart

I took 2 guys to Black Bear that were just learning to play.  On a hole that is backed up to Hamburg Mt one of the guys was teeing off just as a huge bear walked across the tee box right in front of him.  He hits his drive, which just misses the bear by a foot, and the guy was so focused on his drive that he never even saw the bear.  Me and the other guy were rolling on the ground laughing.

I will caddy for beer.  I am easily bribed (with more beer) to adjust scorecards.  12-pack minimum, beer selection must be approved before I caddy (I ain't no cheap whore for beer, I am an expensive whore for beer).
