When I got my GSP a few years ago I bought and used these which worked great and I am no longer using them.

A SportDog Yard Containment System SDF-100A and a SportDog Trainer / Beeper SD 1875.

I am considering selling them so do your research and if interested contact me or if you have any questions, particularly about the collar/trainer/beeper.

Trainer / Beeper : https://www.gundogsupply.com/sportdog-sd-1875.html

I thought, growing old would take longer !

I spent most of my money on shotguns and fly rods.  The rest I just wasted.

Sorry the dog is a Deutsch-Drahthaar so it will be for upland, fowl and retrieving, and blood tracking

I am not keen on E collars and can see it being a crutch. I am patient and will spend the time to train correctly.

I love my e collar

But I got a stubborn young male Gsp, he’s excellent but once in a while he forgets who’s in charge

usually the vibration mode is all it takes.

If used properly they are great and if used incorrectly they can ruin a dog.  I use tone & vibration and very rarely need to nick.

And, I don't think its that a dog forgets as much as it becomes so intense and focused on hunting particularly if there is some scent that everything else gets tuned out.

Alright I'll take a look at what you got as far as the containment system definiely don't need that I have a fenced yard.

The Beeper system e-collar might be interesting I'll send you a p.m.

Lion country supply for the dog training supplies - https://www.lcsupply.com/

Dog kennel (Ruff Tough), check cord, collars, stake out, heeling stick, large bird bags, small bird bags, bird launchers or foot tip-ups, bumpers, starter pistol, whistle, first aid kit. And you can make a training table yourself.

I would also suggest joining your nearest NAVHDA chapter, whether Del Val or North Jersey depending on location. Get the NAVHDA green book even if you don’t join.
