Appalachian Trail/Georgia to Maine hike

"Four hikers, none from New Jersey, were out on the Appalachian Trail in Vernon this Tuesday morning, methodically making their way from Georgia to Maine as part of a journey that will take months and cover 2,190 miles.

Their adventure is the essence of National Trails Day -- celebrated Saturday -- a celebration of the federal trails system established 50 years ago."

It would be so cool to hike the entire length of the AT.  My son and I keep talking about it and have hiked portions of the AT in various states.  I suppose one day......

Something I’ve always wanted to do and will probably never have time to accomplish. Probably the most challenging outdoor adventure in the east coast of the US. Might be a bucket list item when my kids grow old enough to care for themselves.
