Truck Battery....What's Good?

It's time for a new battery for my 2010 Tundra, what's a good battery for this truck?

I ran an optima in my ram and only because of the stereo, screens and all the offroad lights,non led. It lasted 3yrs. Ive always had luck with Bosch in everything else. I wont spend the $ on optima again

I've been using Bosch, never used Optima.

I just need a replacement for the orginal....maybe Bosch would be a good option

I'm an interstate fan. Always use them when I can, never had an issue.

If you happen to have AAA, they will bring it to you and install it with a 6year warranty with 3 year replacement

Deka's. They are heavy duty. Been using them for years. Stay away from Duralast they are junk.

I second deka. Also Napa they are made by deka too.  Not liking interstate too much these days been running into some pre mature failures at work with them.

I was always told by ny father who is a career mechanic that there is only 3 major manufactures of batteries and that every one slaps there own sticker on them.   I have always bought way was cheapest and always average 3 to 4 years no matter what battery I've bought..  just food for thought

Go with the original Battery designed for that Truck.  To save any $$$ install it your self I just replaced one in my Equinox after 4 years with Factory Original Dealer-installed $145. with my GM discount $20.  did that because I have an Extended Warranty.

True as far as Over the Counter One's, But American Manufactures have batteries built to their standards as to Make the Model, Engine, Accessories. There is no one fits all.  With today's Electronics & Computerized Systems Why Gamble or experiment.

Yellow top were designed for trolling motors , if you wanted to use an optima  for your truck you would use the red top.

per their web page when I enter my truck yellow and red top comes up, blue for boat

Red top were for vehicle use .

blue top for combination starting and trolling  (boat )

yellow top are pure deep cycle for constant recharging without failure ( boat and rv use )

 

been using optima batteries  since they came out for both applications . 

Not sure why it would show you using the deep cycle for your truck
