How many pins?

Just got into compound bows and curious how many pins you have on your sight.  My bow has 2 pins (20 yards & 30 yards).

I shoot the Trophy Ridge React One with the single pin. I prefer single pin slider or pendulum sights.

I've had up to 9 pins. 30-110 yards back when I shot alot
Now i have 3 stationary and a 4th that floats for 60+yds.

I enjoy long distance shooting.

I have 3 on my Halon.  I hunt a couple fields where I can get some longer shots.

I shoot 5 all year .

but hunting season I shoot only 3. 

 

Amount of pins used it what your personal accuracy allows.

pretty much a pin for every ten yards .

so if your only shooting to thirty yards 2 pins is all that's needed

Really depends on the shooter.  I shoot an HHA single pin slider & a 3 pin Montana Black Gold slider.  All sights have pro's & con's.

I have a g5 optix with 4 pins. 

1 at 10,20 and 30 and 1 adjustable from 40 to 60. 

Nothing better than a top pin shot while bowhunting

With 2 pins at what distance would you set your pins at?  The closest pin is 20 yards. I was thinking a 20 & 40 yard pins.....

I have used s bunch but got 3 seasons have been using single pin hha.  I found the sweet spot and when in tree keep it set fit 26 yrds.  I'm a little hi inside 15 and a bit low at 35.  All within an inch.  Before the single I liked vertical pin formation

I use 2 pins but the vast majority of my shots are under 20 yds. I rarely use the second pin while hunting.
