2018 Vegetable Gardens

Done for the most part. Still have some room. Tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, jalapenos, cherry peppers, poblanos, ghost pepper, frying peppers, green and red peppers, basil, and spicy oregano

Garlic close up. Scapes are starting to sprout out. They are little flower like sprouts that you cut off to send the energy to the bulb. As a bonus you can pan fry the scapes or make a mild garlic flavored paste out of them in the food processor.

Think I might put some in this fall. What do you do with 600 cloves of garlic?

We are practicing No-Till farming.  Last fall I dumped a bunch of leaves into the garden.  This spring I left the leaves there and planted the maters right in the leaves.  They are growing great and there are no weeds.

You are not kidding. The first one is always the best. 

First one out is always a tomato sandwich with mayo, salt and lots of peper

Rain missed me, so far.  Been picking lettuce, but it's growing too fast to keep up with it.  Second planting will be ready to pick soon.  Got it weeded before the sun hit it this morning.
