bushden
Today was one of the better days of my life, I spent the last month teaching my Granddaughter Lily how to shoot, took her for her test and got her licensed. Son David and I went out this AM with her and not a sound from a bird till 9AM I decided it was time to move packed up the blind and went to plan two, 10 minutes after setup a crow screamed and I heard a distant Gobble, went to work on a couple LOUD calls and he started moving, in 20 minutes was hearing two birds and one was behind the blind, some purrs and TWO birds a Jake and Tome came 10 yards to our right. Lily was shaking put made a nice head shot and bird went right down. 23 pounds, 9inch beard and 7/8 spurs. What a great feeling having the next generations of bush Children hunting, life is complete. P.S. for my religious friends I prayed a entire Rosary before we started that hunt just like I do every time out. Thank you GOD for this great family day in the field.
