Here's the list off the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife

sooner or later they are going to. With all the shops closing there is getting to be fewer and fewer. I think AL's Grill in Cream Ridge i think just closed, from what a friend just told me. He said a sign on the window there

Well, here's a Google Map that I created and shared out - you all can view it if you need to find your nearest check-in station. I should get a smart phone so I can view it myself on my own phone :loco::bulb:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pFqVDB3oaEtfBR7-A9CJ0smM7e1zNyGM&usp=sharing

Let me know if you know of any closures and I'll remove it from the map. I just took all of them from that list from DFW website. Well, there were I think two that Google couldn't find (up in North Jersey I think, I don't remember which ones) so I didn't add those.

I thought the state was supposed to change to the call in system this year? I wonder why they aren't doing that yet.

If my Turkey is  undocumented, I am not reporting.

Smitty's in Warren County is not a check station.  Hasn't been in many, many years. I'm not sure why it's listed year after year.   I tried to take a deer there about 8 years ago and the guy told me then that they weren't a check station and hadn't been in years.

I’m glad Cheyenne is now a check station. I used to go to the Sportsmen’s Center but they are gone.

I can’t wait for them to go to online check in for turkeys. I hate having to wait for the check in station to open. Makes it hard to hunt for just an hour or so before work.

I kind of hope they keep it the way it is as long as they get paid per bird they check in, I'd rather see the local business get money rather then an out of state business. Plus if you have to take your bird to a local business you might spend some money while you're there, and that would help them too.

I just called them and they said they were. However, even though I hunt close to them I still take my birds to Hi-way.

Really?  I wonder if things changed again.  Either that or the guy was just lying to me and too lazy to check my deer all those years ago. Or maybe they only check turkeys and not deer .  Who knows?

All I know is I was hunting nearby, shot a nice buck, went there to check him and the guy told me they aren't a check station.  That was 7-8 years ago. Oh well

No check stations in Central Jersey, especially if Al's in Cream Ridge is really closed......I bet a lot of birds will go unchecked......they need to allow for online harvest submission for turkeys.

Yeah. Just past Marshalls Farms Market, right across from the campground, before you get to Humpty Jrs...

Indian guy who runs it

Always checked my bird's at mount hope deli.OK call me old school but for me it's part of the experience not an inconvenence. There was an older couple there like forever, and it was fun to be there and do the weigh in and paperwork.Shake the hand's of the men in uniform from picatinny. This new generation should appreciate that while they can.Support the new young owner's order up some viddle's and sit down and smell the roses.

It would probably be a Rio Grande.

Looks like the old Bill & Kens on 79 in Morganville is now just Wayne and his partner(Morganville game butchers) and is still a check station.

Looks like the closest one to me.
