Here's the list off the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife 

 

NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife   Turkey Check Stations  All harvested turkeys must be tagged immediately with a completed transportation tag. A turkey must be taken by the person who killed it, on the day killed, to the nearest turkey check station where personnel will issue a legal possession tag. Hunters are advised to contact a station to verify hours of operation.

sooner or later they are going to. With all the shops closing there is getting to be fewer and fewer. I think AL's Grill in Cream Ridge i think just closed, from what a friend just told me. He said a sign on the window there

Let me know if you know of any closures and I'll remove it from the map. I just took all of them from that list from DFW website. Well, there were I think two that Google couldn't find (up in North Jersey I think, I don't remember which ones) so I didn't add those.

I thought the state was supposed to change to the call in system this year? I wonder why they aren't doing that yet.

If my Turkey is  undocumented, I am not reporting.

Smitty's in Warren County is not a check station.  Hasn't been in many, many years. I'm not sure why it's listed year after year.   I tried to take a deer there about 8 years ago and the guy told me then that they weren't a check station and hadn't been in years.

I’m glad Cheyenne is now a check station. I used to go to the Sportsmen’s Center but they are gone.

I can’t wait for them to go to online check in for turkeys. I hate having to wait for the check in station to open. Makes it hard to hunt for just an hour or so before work.

I kind of hope they keep it the way it is as long as they get paid per bird they check in, I'd rather see the local business get money rather then an out of state business. Plus if you have to take your bird to a local business you might spend some money while you're there, and that would help them too.

I just called them and they said they were. However, even though I hunt close to them I still take my birds to Hi-way.
