Anyone camp anymore ?  I mean just go in the woods an set up you camp ?

We do a run down the delaware in usually MarchApril and camp on one of the islands.   Kind of a just nesesaties camp as we use kayaks to run the river

I only camp on elk hunts.......and it has been a few years. Hopefully I will draw a tag this year.

Yea only to hunt. When I do My Mountain Hunts.  Same here Elk hunt next year

Sometimes with the family.  Growing up, we camped all over the US each summer, a few weeks at a time.  I had thousands of acres of Newark watershed in my backyard growing up in West Milford, and we often just took off into the woods and set up camp near the stream that was nearest us.  I did the same with my kid brother one summer when we were both in college.  Just headed west and our first stop was the mountains of Colorado where we camped for 5 weeks, alternating between skiing A Basin and fishing local rivers in CO and WY.  We seldom used a formal campsite.

I base camp when elk hunting and turkey hunting (OHIO).  I use a bivy set up when I spike out during elk hunts.

Usually tent camp somewhere one or two weekends a year...Usually once in the spring and once in the fall. Never the same place twice.

Camped up there for first time the fall before last. Late Oct/early Nov. Great scenery.
